Canned Food Sculpture

Team Members: Paritosh Kumar - Team Captain, Anita B. Kumar, Anjali Bais

Mission Statement: This is in remembrance of the tragedy of 9/11. The torch on top represents the undying human "spirit." The rising sun at the back represents "hope & rejuvenation." The horizontal crown at the base with our flag colors of red, white, and blue, represent "liberty." The two silver colored towers represent the World Trade Center. The three sloping structures on the three sides of the towers represent "rebuilding." The two stacks of round cans on either side in the form of debris represent "the fallen structures and heroes." The other props, including the flag, crown and dove on the globe, represent patriotism, liberty and world peace respectively. They relate to other parts of the sculpture and meaning to the whole design.

This project was also broadcast by "NBC" television.
